About This Park

Overview

LeBar Horse Camp has large evergreen conifers and hardwoods that provide plenty of shade. 13 campsites are available that accommodate a horse trailer and camper with room to hitch horses to a highline near each camp unit.

Campsites at this location is available on a first-come, first-served basis, and visitors are required to physically arrive at the campground to purchase and claim a site. Once on-site, you are able to pay for your campsite(s) by scanning a QR code using the Scan & Pay feature on the Recreation.gov mobile app.

Please download the free Recreation.gov mobile app prior to your arrival as some remote areas have limited or no cellular service. Adding a payment method to the app before arrival is recommended as well.

Recreation

Horseback riding, hiking, camping, fishing, and hunting are available in the area.  The Lower South Fork Skokomish Trail #873 is located across from the entrance to LeBar Horse Camp and is open to stock. The Upper South Fork Skokomish Trail #873.1 is located at the end of FS Rd #2361.  The Brown Creek Nature Trail #877, across from Brown Creek Campground, is a short, family oriented hike around a beaver pond beginning near the campground well.  The Nature Trail is closed to stock, mountain bikes and motor vehicles.

Facilities

There are 13 campsites in LeBar Horse Camp that will accommodate a horse trailer and camper with room to hitch horses to a highline near each camp unit.  Vault toilet and picnic shelter in the campground.  No potable water is available at this time.  NOTE: this campground is for visitors with stock.  Campers without stock should camp at Brown Creek Campground.
